New Bylaws Adopted
To understand how we function as an association please download a copy of our Bylaws. Our new Bylaws were adopted with overwhelming support at our Annual Meeting on November 16, 2010.
The major change in the bylaws is a shift in our identity and structure away from a denominational model where the churches fund the denomination that provides programs and services for the churches to an associational model. This requires a return to a grassroots effort where the association coordinates and facilitates churches working together to benefit each other and to accomplish their God-given mission. This structure and the covenant relationship of the churches is spelled out in the Operations and Policy Manual rather than in the Bylaws. Great flexibility has been built into these new bylaws to accommodate the differing needs of our region and needed changes in the future.
